Hey, I do write my own ads/ articles & copy but I'm NO "copywriter"!
That being said I'll share with you the methods I use to get people to BUY..
Benefits NOT features! What's so good about your product/ eBook? don't tell me the car does 150 MPH but tell me it will get me from London to Scotland in under 3 hours. See
Bullets & teasers!Bullets are like snippets of your product. Use bullets to let people know what to expect in your product. The idea of a "bullet" is to get the prospect excited about your product.
I'll give you an example, a while back I was reading an affiliate page of someone promoting Russel Brunson's eBook, here's the bullets the affiliate provided, yes, it's the one that made me
BUY..
- "Why Russel Brunson shaves his head!"
That single bullet made me pull out my credit card and purchase! as well as the fact Russel only puts out golden information.
A guarantee!Back in my early days of marketing the Internet, I use to see the big marketers offering stupidly long refund dates.. "160 day no questions asked money back guarantee" and I thought to myself.. why on earth would you allow someone to purchase you eBook, read and implement your secrets, then give them a full refund??
Cut a long story short there's 2 reasons why the "big names" use such iron cast guarantees..
1) It makes it so much easier for prospect to purchase as it removes all risk.
2) The longer the guarantee, the more time your customer has to forget about asking for a refund.
(You should always honor guarantees)The straight methodIf you have a product that you'd put your name on, you cant go wrong with straight telling your prospect..
A) what your product does!
B) How your product will benefit them!
C) What you want them to do to get it (buy now/ sign up)
That's all I have for now. As stated I'm no pro but the tips above never fail to sell a product that people want.
